HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KRISTINE!

Kristine turned "20" this year! She celebrated with a birthday brunch with her friends.

Cecilly, Malynne, Sally and Abbie came for a waffle breakfast and cake. Randi wasn't in town yet.
That night we had the holiday RISK game. Kristine was red, Ryan was brown, Heather was yellow, Dad was black, and I was blue.

At the end KRISTINE was the WINNER!

The weekend had a few more games. We played Rook, Golf (with Rook cards), Harry Potter (the Hogwarts/Clue version), and Chicken Foot. Randi joined us for games on Friday night. Heather, Ryan, Dad, and I went to the temple to help with sealings. It was a wonderful weekend.

Monson

I had a great time in Arizona. Bailey and I were able to have a day of fun. Monson was happy to be with us. We had pedicures, lunch with Wills, went to a "chick flick" matinee and did some shopping. Then I spent 2 days being the live-in-grandma. Monson and I played and played.

We went on a walk every morning.

On Saturday Wills, Bailey, Monson and I went to a Fall Festival. It was the warmest Fall Festival I ever attended. There was a giant corn maze and pig races. (not pictured)
There was a Carousel:

Eliza

Eliza and Robin spent some time at our house. She used to pose for pictures but now we have to snap fast. Here are some cute pictures:
She likes to help cook dinner.
Eliza liked to watch the sheep as long as they were on the other side of the fence.

Playdough is a winner every time. She calls it "P-dou".

Eliza went outside whenever she could. Helping Grandpa in the yard and garden were a hit.

Cute Grandkids!

Eliza and Monson were a lot of fun to have at our house. Here are a few snapshots of them:

Let the Games Begin!

After Diane's funeral we had a fun, fast weekend in Vernal. Robin, Eliza, Wills, Bailey, Monson, Heather and Ryan came to Vernal. Charlie was in VA working and Kristine was getting settled into Grandpa's with Nathan and Aaron. Charlie and Kristine were missed but we all understand that you can't always be in Vernal!! We had planned on an afternoon in the mountains but there was a storm that left everything wet and muddy so we did things in town. We started off with bowling...
Monson was indifferent to this activity.

Eliza picked it up very quickly! She had a little bit of help from a ramp and gutter bumpers.

Bailey

Monson tried it once.

Heather

We all had a wonderful time but Ryan was #1.

Cafe' Rio was dinner. Yes, our chicken was dead (sorry, had to be there). Then we rolled up our sleeves and got out the Rook cards. Eliza went to bed but Monson got into the game.

Heather thought she could study for her Spanish class during the game. It helped to have Robin be her personal teacher/tutor.

Diane Robinson Haines

On August 22, 2010 my sister passed away. I was able to be with Diane and her family the week prior to her passing. It was a privilege for me to help Diane's family as they lovingly cared for Diane during her final days. Their love and gentle kindness as they cared for Diane was truly a reflection of the loving way Diane had cared for them.

Here is Jeff with his children.

What a beautiful family.

Mom passed away on August 24, 2002. Diane's funeral was held on August 27, exactly 8 years after Mom's funeral. Diane is buried next to Mom. Here we are with Dad. (L to R) David, Lynae, Marilyn, Dad, Janette, Karen and Allen.

Palmyra

We enjoyed the Palmyra area immensely. Here we are outside the Palmyra Temple. On top of the Hill Cumorah.

Peter Whitmer Sr. farm.

We ended our trip at the Sacred Grove. This was a very memorable trip.
